White Settlement Day Parade

The first White Settlement Day Parade was held in April, 1956 as one of several events planned for a "White Settlement Day" program. The parade has endured to become an annual fall event.

2008 White Settlement Day Parade

The 2008 Annual White Settlement Day Parade will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.
Parade applications are now available. Click here for an online version of our parade application.

Parade Route:  The parade will begin at Brewer Middle School (Gibbs and South Cherry Lane), travel north on S. Cherry Lane, west on White Settlement Road to Civic Center Complex at White Settlement Road and Meadow Park Drive.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Civic Center Complex following the parade.

2007 Parade Grand Marshals, Norris and Ella Chambers

Grand Marshals: Norris and Ella Chambers

Grand Marshals: Norris and Ella Chambers represented the Chamber of Commerce in the 2007 parade. The Chambers have long been active in many civic activities in addition to our chamber including the White Settlement Historical Society, White Settlement Historical Museum. Ella is a PTA lifetime member, a former precinct chair and was involved in Scouts, Brownies and Bluebirds. Norris was a member of the White Settlement ISD Board of Trustees for over 13 years, Volunteer of the Year, and received the Mayor's Community Spirit Award in honor of his "Old Timer's Tales" story series and work in preserving city history.
