Learn how to identify amphibian and freshwater mussel species and participate in scientific research as members of an important Texas Nature Tracker Partnership. Texas Master Naturalist Approved Advanced Training. CPE and TEEAC credit available for educators. Bring a lunch and/or snacks.

 Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge - Kayak Tour
Tour a stretch of the West Fork of the Trinity River with kayaks. View ducks, herons, beaver and other wildlife. Sunscreen, water and weather appropriate clothing (including shoes that can get wet) are recommended. Kayaks, paddles and lifejackets are provided. Kayakers must be at least 14 years old and accompanied by their guardian, otherwise at least 18 years old. Some previous experience recommended. Registration ends Friday prior to event Maximum - 8 participants. Meet at Greer Island Parking Lot.

 Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge - Canoe Fest
Enjoy canoeing/kayaking on your own on the quiet waters around Greer Island. Canoes/Kayaks, paddles and lifejackets are provided. Children in canoes must be five years or older and accompanied by a parent or guardian. Kayakers must be at least 14 years old and accompanied by their guardian, otherwise at least 18 years old. Parents must sign a liability waiver for minor children. Meet at Greer Island Parking Lot. Greer Island gate will open at 11:30 a.m.
No registration needed. First come - first served.
