The hike will include looking for water turtles and other interesting fauna of aquatic nature. Also hiking part of the Canyon Ridge Trail to look at blooming wildflowers. Explore trails along the Riverbottom ecosystem that lie next to different types of wetlands. The area is dominated with tall trees, shrubs and vines. Parents must sign a liability waiver for minor children. Some previous experience recommended. Maximum - 12 participants. White Settlement Day - Settlers Day Parade The first White Settlement Day Parade was held in April, 1956 as one of several events planned for a "White Settlement Day" program. The parade has endured to become an annual fall event. This year's parade will be held on the same day as the City of White Settlement's 3rd Annual Settlers Day Festival. The 2010 edition of the parade will be a Settlers Day Parade.
